Snowy Apartments Pan

A background Pan I did in 2nd year.

Decided to set it in the city where my grandparents live as the industrial chimneys in the skyline of the city added interest.

I started by brainstorming the different camera movements and compositions.

Once i decided on my backgrounds I would decide what animated elements i wanted to include, in this case I chose to do some smoke rising from the factories.

I did some sketches on paper before bringing them into digital and creating my final clean sketch.

Then it was just a matter of creating the different layers, animation layers and doing the compositing in After Effects.
